Programming the ES 030-K

3.1

General

STEP 5, the programming language for the programmable

logic controller SIMATIC S5, is used in programming the

ES 030-K. The operational instructions are described in

Chapter 8.

3.1.1

Programming the ES 030-K

The OBs, FBs and DBs are generated with the PG under DOS

and loaded into the ES 030-K (EEPROM) using the program

ESCOPY (see also Chapter 9).

Cyclic execution of the user pro

gram begins in FB 1. Function

blocks FB 2 to FB 8 are standard

blocks of the operating system.

These FBs provide the user with

very useful auxiliary programs

(e.g., recoding, copying, etc. -

see chapter 3.2.2).

Blocks FB 9 to FB 63 are available

to the user for programming as

desired. The blocks can be ne

sted up to a depth of 10.

As with SIMATIC, OBs 20 and 22

are available to the user for system

start and return of power.

The standard ES 030-K has

120 data blocks each with

256 data words. All data

blocks are cleared when a

system start occurs.

DW 0 to DW 99 of data block

1 (DB 1) contain internal sy

stem data (e.g., time, keybo

ard code table; parameteri

zation of the serial interface;

command structure of

MOBY; see chapter 3.2.1).

DBs which the user has pre

set and programmed in the

EEPROM are automatically

copied to the RAM when the

system starts.

As with SIMATIC, the ES

030-K has a flag area of

256 bytes. This area can

be addressed by bit,

byte and word.

The area from FY 0 to

FY 30 is already perma

nently assigned. It is

used for I/O control (see

chapter 3.3).

The digital inputs and

digital outputs of the

ES 030-K are assi

gned to fixed addres

ses. The DIs are at ad

dresses 0 to 3, and the

DQs are at addresses

0 to 1. The lamps of the

keyboard can be con

trolled with addresses

8 to 11.
