MOBY-M

Up to two MOBY-M options can be plugged into the

ES 030-K. The various LBS (reader/transmitter stations) can

then be connected to these options.

Data carriers with capacities of 64 bytes, 2 Kbytes, 8 Kbytes, as

well as mixed code and ROMs are available. (On the 8-Kbyte

data carrier, only 2 Kbytes can be read/written to; on the mixed

code data carrier, only the variable part can be read/written to).

Further information about MOBY-M components can be

found in the manual (order no. 6AW5450-8XX00-0K).

The LBS can be supplied internally or externally with 24 V. If

supplied internally, the 24 V voltage separation is cancelled.

2.2.8

MOBY-I

Up to two MOBY-I options can be plugged into the ES 030-K.

The various SLGs (write/read devices) can then be connected

to these options.

Data carriers with capacities of 62 byte RAM, 32 Kbyte RAM,

128 byte EEPROM, and 8 Kbyte EEPROM are available.

Further information about MOBY-I components can be found

in the MOBY-I catalogue (order no.

E86060-K6910-A101-A2). The SLG can be supplied

internally or externally with 24 V. If supplied internally, the 24 V

voltage separation is cancelled.

File Handler

The MOBY-I option

“

F" contains the MOBY-I file handler.

With this option, the user data to the MDS can be processed

using logical filenames. The user does not have to administrate

the physical addresses on the MDS. The file handler in the ES

030-K is compatible with the MOBY-I interface modules

ASM 421 and ASM 401.

2.2.9

MOBY-L

Up to two MOBY-L options can be plugged into the

ES 030-K. The SLG (write/read device) is then connected to

these options.

Data carriers with capacities of 128 byte EEPROM and 512

byte EEPROM are available.

Further information about MOBY-L components can be

found in the MOBY-L catalogue (order no.

E86060-K6920-A101-A1). The SLG can be supplied

internally or externally with 24 V. If supplied internally, the 24 V

voltage separation is cancelled.

2.2.10

PROFIBUSDP

A PROFIBUSDP module can be connected to either connec

tor 3 or connector 4 of the ES 030K.

A standard, 9way, subminiature D plug connector is used for

the connection to the bus system.

The connector of the ES 030K also provides the voltage sup

ply for the bus connection.

The baud rate of the PROFIBUSDP is recognized automati

cally. A baud rate of up to 1.5 Mbaud is possible.

Additional information on the subject of the PROFIBUSDP

and its configuration is available in various catalogues and ma

nuals. Examples: SINEC Industrial Communication Networks

Distributed I/O System (6ES5 8956SE22).

2.2.11

Power Supply

The power supply of the ES 030-K has been designed for

connection to either 230 V AC or, in a special version, to

24 V DC. The AC version contains a filter in order to suppress

voltage transients on the mains voltage.

Calculating the Current Requirements -24V

The ES 030-K provides a floating voltage of 24 V/400 mA. This

voltage is used to internally supply the MOBY, the digital

inputs/outputs, and the serial interfaces.

2.2.12

Memory Expansion

The user has an EEPROM area of 16 K available for

instructions. The programs and data blocks (data blocks

which do not require presettings do not have to be

programmed) to be loaded share this area.

The RAM area is designated for data blocks and includes

DB 1 to DB 120, containing 256 data words each.
