5.2.9
Clutch
With this drive combination with integrated auxiliary drive the systemspecific
requirements set out in section 3, “Safety Notes”, must be observed in all cases!
Changeover must be carried out only when the main and auxiliary gear units are at
a standstill.
The clutch is located on the output shaft of the auxiliary gear unit.
The coupling ring is shifted axially by a shift lever.
The end faces of the coupling teeth to be engaged on changeover are chamfered so as to enable the slight
rotary movement necessary for "tooth space alignment" to occur automatically when the control sleeve
is shifted axially.
This is conditional upon at least one gearunit shaft being freely rotatable when
changing over.
If, however, the teeth come together in such a way that shifting is no longer possible, the motor of the
auxiliary gear unit should be briefly run (inching operation) with the control lever in position "
OFF"
and the
locking plate engaged, and the shifting operation repeated or the clutch rotated slightly on the gearunit
shaft.
After changeover the locking plate must be immediately locked.
5.2.9.1 Shift lever
The shift lever is locked with a plate fitted with a padlock.
5.2.9.2 Shift position
The shift position of the lever is indicated by two limit switches on the customer's evaluation instrument.
Locking of the shift lever is indicated by a limit switch on the customer's evaluation instrument.
