5.2.7.2 Starting when the bucket wheel is at a standstill
The bucket wheel must have reached equilibrium.
•
Release brake.
•
Start pump.
•
After 10 minutes start main motor and/or auxiliary motor.
5.2.7.3 Changeover from main to auxiliary drive
•
Switch main motor off .
•
Leave pump on.
•
Close brake.
•
Engage auxiliary gear.
•
Release brake.
•
Start auxiliary motor.
5.2.7.4 Safety "Off" (emergency stop)
•
Switch off main motor and/or auxiliary motor, depending on type of operation.
•
Close brake.
5.2.8
Auxiliary drive (optional)
The bucket wheel drive may optionally be provided with an auxiliary drive. This auxiliary drive enables the
gear unit to be operated at a lower output speed in the same direction of rotation. The auxiliary drive is
connected with the gear unit by a clutch.
Main and auxiliary motors must not be started together.
The auxiliary drive should be protected against overload.
The auxiliary drive serves as a drive during maintenance, installation and repair work.
