Explanation of the possible selections in operating mode 2 “single break PSDI”:
“Standard (interruption and reset)” signifies:
ESPE switches to green after protective field interruption and subsequent actuation of
the reset button
“Alternative (reset and interruption)” signifies:
ESPE switches to green after actuation of the reset button and subsequent protective
field interruption

On switching from operating mode 2 to operating mode 1 by the machine controller, the
machine is stopped, as the C4000 Standard/Advanced safety light curtain switches to the
safe state (can be seen from the illuminated red LED). The restarting of the machine must
be acknowledged by actuating the reset button.
