System A
System B
Selecting the transmission frequencies for fixed/mobile station and bus operation
If the system is used in a variable data link, we recommend that the unit at the fixed
station (on the bus cable) be set to F2 and the other at the opposite mobile station be set
to F1.
Switching off the transmitter in the fixed station
The jumper prevents the transmitter from emitting IR light at the fixed station when the unit
in the mobile station is deactivated (single-sided deactivation, e.g. for vehicle
maintenance).
Default setting: ST 17 is open in both units (no switching off).
Ø
Only close the jumper ST 17 in the unit at the
fixed station
(
Fig. 5-1
).
Use the free jumper on jumper ST 16 provided that it is not used to activate the CL 20
mA interface (
Fig. 5-3
).

Carrier frequency 1
Selecting the transmission frequencies for parallel operation of two systems
If two ISD 230 systems are to be operated simultaneously in close proximity of each other,
the selected transmission frequencies must be such that the units with the same
frequency are diagonally opposite one another (
Fig. 5-2
).
