Operation
1.
Select the R

DIAGNOSTICS
option in the A
UXILIARY
INTERFACE
list field.
2.
Carry out the download to the CLV. To do so, click on
in the toolbar.
The D
OWNLOAD
PARAMETERS
dialog box is opened.
3.
Confirm the dialog box with the saving option P
ERMANENT
.
The terminal interface is now set to the "Read diagnostics" mode.

Host interface monitoring
Function of the
terminal interface
. In this mode the CLV outputs the data traffic of its host
interface via the terminal interface. Repeat requests of the protocol driver and protocol-spe-
cific data, such as start and stop characters, are suppressed here (
).
Each data
string is displayed in a separate line on the screen.
The “host interface monitoring“ is activated by means of the A
UXILIARY
INTERFACE
tab card.

Carry out the download to the CLV. To do so, click on
in the toolbar.

The terminal interface is then set to the "Monitor host Interface" until the CLV is switched
off again.
Displaying the data traffic of the host interface in the terminal emulator
The data traffic of the host interface can be displayed in the terminal emulator of CLV-Setup.
shows an example of how the read result can be output.
1.
Select the serial interface as the external trigger source for the reading pulse.

in the toolbar.
The terminal emulator window opens. The CLV is in the Reading mode.

Click on the SW-T
RIGGER
ON
command button or press [F7].
The scan line then appears.

CLV-Setup outputs the read result in the terminal emulator.
