SAFETY INFORMATION
2.2 Correct use
The 3vistor-P system has been designed for use in off-road heavy trucks.
It is a driver assistance system for collision awareness within defined detection areas.
The technical specifications cannot accommodate special climatic requirements.
Any form of use that is not covered by "correct use" is deemed to constitute incorrect
use and shall invalidate any claims made against SICK AG under the warranty.
2.3 Foreseeable misuse
NOTE!
In particular, the following types of use are not covered by the term "correct use":
• Use in potentially explosive atmospheres
• Use in areas that do not meet the requirements demanded of the operational envi-
ronment (see page 72)
• Use in areas with particularly stringent safety technology requirements (in this con-
text, the operating organization must check, on a case-by-case basis, whether it is
safe to use the equipment).
The general principle is that the type of use is not covered unless it is listed under
"Correct use".
The driver assistance system is not suitable for the following types of use, among
others:
• Under water
• Installation in vehicles that are driven on public roads and are, therefore, subject
to licensing restrictions
• Guaranteeing that accidents involving objects can be safely avoided
