Electrical installation
6.1
Safety
DANGER!
Risk of fire due to inadequate fuse protection.
There is a risk of fire if the electrical connection is established incorrectly without ade

quate fuse protection. This can result in moderate to severe injuries, or even death.
• Provide adequate fuse protection for the electrical installation and do not connect
the driver assistance system directly to the vehicle battery.

Fine soldering iron and solder or crimping tool
•
Fine screwdriver
•
Diagonal cutter
•
Pointed pliers

Required materials
•
Cables included in scope of delivery
(see "5.4 Scope of delivery" on page 55).
•
10 m or 20 m cable set for connecting the sensor head and EU
•
Heat-shrinkable sleeves.
•
Cable fasteners (cable conduits, cable ties, strain relief products).

1. Connect the power supply to the vehicle electrical system (fuse box) in accordance
with the table above.
2. Use heat-shrinkable sleeves to insulate any exposed joints.

Installing the cables

Install the cables by running them between the mounting locations. Use cable
conduits, cable ties, and strain relief products.
