CONFIGURATION AND OPERATION
8.1.4
Checking the configuration
1. If you have not done so already, switch on the system via the ignition.
2. Wait until you can see the camera image on the display.
3.
Check the orientation of the camera image (normal/flipped).
4. Press the "i" button.
The values shown for the height and angle on the blue and yellow lines should be
similar but not identical
(see "8.2 Setup mode" on page 68).
DANGER!
Risk of collision due to misconfiguration
If the system is configured incorrectly, collisions may occur before the system has a
chance to output an alarm signal.
• There must be a slight difference between the "Estimated" and the "Initial" height/
angle values. If both values are identical, it means that the sensor head has not
been configured correctly and the alarm will not be triggered reliably if the alarm area
is violated.
5.
Use the setup mode to check the configured values and make any further adjust
-
ments as necessary
(see "8.2 Setup mode" on page 68).
6. Check whether the portrayal of the vehicle, sensor head position, and alarm zones
(shown on the right-hand side of the display) match the settings made.
