Please read the instructions carefully before using the charger.
•
This product is for indoor use only, please do not expose it to water or dust.
•
The device must not be covered (dust cloth or similar) while it is being used. This avoids
overheating.
•
This 12V charger is designed for use with 12V lead-acid batteries; For safety reasons, the battery
types must have a minimum capacity of 11Ah in order to be used with the charger.
•
If you are unsure about the capacity, please consult the manufacturer
•
We would like to advise you not to use batteries with a capacity higher than 30Ah in connection
with the charger
•
The socket must be easily accessible. If an error occurs, please unplug the plug from the socket
immediately. Caution!! High voltage inside!! Please do not remove the cover!! All service and
maintenance should be performed by authorized personnel.
Particularities:

3-stage control function for safe and fast charging of lead-acid batteries

2 voltage levels; Charging voltage (14.7V) and charge retention (13.8V)
•
3-colour LED display informs about charging status
•
Built-in timer for extended charging (<< 100uA); if the mains voltage fails or is disconnected
•
Protection against reverse polarity
•
Automatic start of a new charge cycle when the battery voltage drops (if the battery is being used)
Charging Instructions:
1) For open lead acid batteries: check the electrolyte in the battery. Top up with distilled water to 5-10mm over
the plates if necessary.
2) Do not connect the charger to the mains before it is connected to the battery. (This is to avoid sparks which
could ignite flammable gases).
3) Check the polarity when connecting the charger to the battery. If the battery is still connected to the vehicle
system, please keep the connection of the terminal to the vehicle chassis.
4) If you cannot connect directly to the battery terminals ensure that connections are not near petrol pipes etc.
5) Connect the charger to the mains.
6) When charging is complete, disconnect from the mains before removing battery connections. The connections
to the vehicle chassis should be removed before that from the other battery terminal.
