Referencing of Boreholes

7.8.2

Proceed as follows in order to reference boreholes: 

·

Select "Menu" (1) - "Start GPS referencing" (2). 

·

Select a borehole (3) and go to "Identify position" (4). 

·

Keep the GPS antenna still and confirm the following question with "Yes" (5).

    

    

Boreholes which are already referenced are marked with a green edging in the borehole plan.

After referencing you can switch between "GPS view" and "planned view" via "Menu"(see
figure below).

The first referenced borehole will be taken as reference coordinate, if no reference
coordinate is set up as described in Chapter 

7.4.1 Project Settings

After referencing a second borehole, the field will be oriented to North and  all  other
boreholes within the field will be spatially fitted to the referenced boreholes.
For this fitting always the farthest borehole from the reference point will be taken into
account. All referenced boreholes in between keep their measured position.

In the following example the fitting will be done with the boreholes

. The additional referenced

 will be not be spatially fitted. All black edged boreholes will be fitted.
