Position of the Object

6.5.2

Vertical  Position

: A vertical position of the magnetic dipole can be assumed whenever only

positive or only negative values are displayed. Sometimes the positive maximum is surrounded
annularly by weakly negative values and vice versa.

Horizontal Position

: A horizontal position of the magnetic dipole can be assumed whenever

positive as well as negative values are displayed which have about the same amplitude. The values
of the minimum and the maximum will be almost identical.

Diagonal Position

: A diagonal position of the magnetic dipole can be estimated whenever a strong

positive maximum along with a weak minimum (or vice versa) is displayed.
