3.2 ELECTRONIC CONNECTION TO THE TESTED LINE
Once connected to the Electronic Switch physically, the tested line needs to be put through to ST300
electronically by selecting “CABLE SETTINGS” (2.5.1.1). This will allow making the most of the device’s
capabilities.
The settings include the cable type (twisted-pair or straight), number of cores in the cable, and type
of connection. The most common types of cable lines, and the corresponding settings, are shown in
Figs.49-51.
