OPERATING MANUAL

While in this routine, at any moment the table cursor will be highlighting the pair that is currently
being tested. When the cycle is complete, the table cursor will return to its starting position (where it had
been before the automatic procedure was engaged).
For signal monitoring, headphones or inbuilt speaker can be used.
For a more detailed research, the user may go the main screen of the “LFA
”
mode, by pressing “MODE
”
or “ESC
”
. The signal may then be studied with the oscilloscope or spectrum analyzer. To return to the
automatic mode table view, press “MODE
”
.
2.6.1 Main Screen of the "WIRED RECEIVER" Mode
The "WR" mode is accessible:
– from the Start Menu (see 2.2), by using the “F2” hotkey or through the menu;
– from the main screen of the “SWITCH” mode (see 2.4.1.), by using the “F2” hotkey.
Upon activation of the “WR” mode the user is offered a choice of two frequency ranges, i.e., 100KHz
– 30MHz or 100kHz – 150MHz. Using the and keys, select one and press “ENTER”. The main
screen of the «WIRED RECEIVER» mode will appear (Fig. 28), with the spectrum over the selected
frequency range.
2.6 “WIRED RECEIVER” MODE
The “WIRED RECEIVER” mode (“WR”) serves for the detection of signals from eavesdropping electronics,
transmitting over both high- and weak-current lines in the frequency range from 100kHz to 150MHz.
In the “WR” mode, signals can be monitored:
– by their graphical representation on the screen (oscillogram or spectrogram);
– by sound (through headphones or speaker).
For connecting the device to electric mains, a special adaptor is supplied with ST300 (see 1.3.5).
For connection to weak-current multiwire, the Electronic Switch is used. If the weak-current line is two-
wired, using the mains adaptor (1.3.5) is also acceptable.
When the mains adaptor is used for connection, the message appears instead of the pair
number.
If the Electronic Switch is used for connection, the wire pair number is shown in its usual place:
Caution! Connecting the Electronic Switch to live power mains is strictly forbidden and will
result in damaging the Electronic Switch!
