Never lift or remove the hopper grate for any reason (Figure
84).

Do not remove the water box covers or grates when the
machine is stroking (Figure 85). Do not remove the water box cover (to add water,
for example), until the operator has disabled the machine. Replace the covers
before the operator restarts the pump.

Keep unauthorized personnel off of the pump.
