Try removing new software.

Check with third party support to see if there are known
problems.
Using font management software such as Adobe Type
Manager (ATM) or Adobe Type Reunion

software off or removing any extensions associated with the
software and rebooting the system.
Problems with TextBridge Pro or Instant Access OCR
The Macintosh freezes randomly, scanners are not recognized,
or applications do not retain their setup parameters
Possible corrupt Parameter RAM

Reset parameter RAM; restart the system while holding down
keys: command-option-pr.
Symptom of possible corrupt desktop
•
Rebuild the desktop; restart the computer while holding
down the keys: command-option.
Recently installed additional memory or other component
Possible connection problem

Power down the computer and make sure all boards are
seated properly.
