While in Echo Scan mode, you may repeatedly change the Filter,
Tracking, and Thresholding (Lighter/Darker) parameters. Be sure to
record the settings for each specific document area.

Refer to "The

Turning Arrows

Key: Echo Scan Key” on page 2-26

and "Parameter Control Keys - Green” on page 2-10 for more
information. While in this mode, you may also use the Preview
Display keys for better viewing.

7. If necessary to exit Echo Scan mode, press Scan to resume normal

scanning.

Refer to "The

Turning Arrows

more information.

8. Wait until the document is completely scanned before stopping the

scanner.

In manual mode, you must press Scan again to stop the scanner. In
automatic mode, scanning will automatically stop when the document
has passed over the last document sensor.

9. If necessary, rescan the document-without using Echo Scan -on-line.

10. Unload the document from the scanner.

Refer to the following sections for more information about loading and
unloading documents: "Document Transport Control Keys - Yellow” on
page 2-6; "2-25The
