SAFETY INFORMATION
These installation and operating instructions are intended for the sauna ow-
ner or maintenance provider as well as the electrician responsible for instal-
ling the sauna climate unit. The manual must be handed over to the owner or
maintenance provider after the sauna climate unit has been installed. Before
using the Saunum BASE Solution sauna climate unit, please read the installa-
tion and safety instructions.
The BASE indoor climate system for the sauna manufactured by Saunum
Group OÜ (hereinafter referred to as the Device) may not be taken into
use before reading the installation and safety instructions.
The Device is designed for mixing layers of air in the sauna, harmonising the
temperatures of the indoor climate of the sauna and, as an added function,
releasing salt ions into the indoor air from the Himalayan salt stones included
in the set.
The special ventilator in the Device creates an airflow which harmonises the
upper and lower air layers with different temperatures in the heated sauna
and makes the steam smooth and even.
NB! Do not use the Device for any other purpose!
Please consult a physician about the medical contraindications for bathing in
a sauna and about staying in the environment enriched with salt ions in the
steam room of the sauna. Please make sure than you do not have any aller-
gies or contraindications to a saline environment.
Saunum Group OÜ will not be held liable for various side effects to the health
of the user of the Device. Using Himalayan salt stones in the Device is an
added function which may be left unused without any effect on the functio-
ning of the Device in harmonizing the climate of the sauna. In the case of any
health concerns, the salt stones can be removed from the container and the
Device can be used only for mixing the layers of air.
Do not pour water on the case and into the airing vents of the Device or use
the Device in a room where there is water flowing on the floor or where
flammable/explosive gas may leak into the air. The Device may not be used if
any elements of the case have been removed and/or if the circuitry has been
changed. Children may not access the Device or play with the Device. The
Device may not be cleaned by children.
The Device must be installed by a person who is qualified to perform elect-
rical work. The Device must be connected to the power grid by using fixed
wiring and a cable which is suitable for the temperature conditions of the
environment. The connecting terminals of the Device must be equipped with
protective earthing (PE) with a cross-sectional area of the wire of at least 1.5
mm2. The power circuit used to feed the Device must be protected with a
residual-current circuit breaker and overcurrent protection. Supply voltage:

ATTENTION! Prior to performing maintenance and cleaning operations,
please separate the power circuit of the Device from the power grid and
wait until the moving parts of the Device have fully stopped.
