33 Messaging
New Voice Mail Message Alerts
When you receive a new voice message, your phone alerts you and prompts you to
call to check your voice mail.
To call your voice mail immediately after receiving a message:
1.
Press the
key to listen to the message.
2.
Press the
key to return to the Idle screen.
To display your Voice Mail:

Press
for
Menu
, followed by
.
Tip:
You can also press and hold the
key to set up and check your voice mail.
Important:
When you are roaming off the network, you may not receive notification
of new voice mail messages. It is recommended that you periodically check your
voice mail by dialing 1 + area code + your Phone Number. You will be charged
roaming rates when accessing voice mail while roaming off the network.
Note:
Your phone accepts messages even when it is turned off. However, you are
notified of new messages only when your phone is turned on and you are in a
Service Area.
Retrieving Your Voice Mail Messages
You can access your voice mail from the Messaging menu.
To use the menu keys to access your voice mail:

Press

2.
Press
for
Messaging
.
3.
Press
for
Voicemail
.
4.
Press
for
Dial Voicemail
.
Note:
You are charged for airtime minutes when you are accessing your voice mail
from your phone.
