Messaging
You can send and receive a range of different message types from your phone.

, followed by

Messaging
.
This menu has the following messaging options:
•
Voicemail
: allows you to access your voice mailbox and check for voice
messages.
•
Text and Multimedia
: allows you to compose and send Text and
Multimedia messages to other phones able to receive the messages.
•
Instant Messaging
: allows you send and receive messages to and from
popular IM (Instant Messaging) services and chat.
•
: allows you to access your E-mail messages.
•
Web Alert
: allows you to view specific Web alerts from your service
provider.
•
Short Codes
: allows you to view specific information and links from your
service provider.
Voice Mail
Setting Up Your Voice Mail
All unanswered calls to your phone are automatically transferred to your voice
mail, even if your phone is in use or turned off. Therefore, you should set up your
voice mail and personal greeting as soon as your phone is activated.
Note:
You must request this feature from your service provider for it to work
correctly.
To set up voice mail:
1.
Press

2.
Follow the system audio prompts to create your passcode, record your
greeting, and record your name announcement.
Voice Mail Notification
There are several ways your phone alerts you of a new message:

By displaying a message on the screen.
•
By sounding the assigned ringer type.
•
By displaying
at the top of your screen.
