Notes, options for use
Scald / burn hazard

The appliance must not be used for deep-frying!

Scalding hazard if overfilled: The highest fill level (level mark ”-6” in the pan tub) must not
be exceeded!

Open the hinged top cover carefully as there is a risk of being burnt by the hot steam!
Frying
D
Examples: Frying off large pieces of meat, e.g. roast beef, braised beef marinated in vine
gar, large quantities of portioned meat like steaks, filets, etc.
D
If necessary, cover the drain opening in the pan tub with a metal cover sheet or insert the
drain plug when frying with oil.
D
Add only a little culinary fat or oil to the pan tub.
D
After each frying session, remove the coating from the frying surface.
Cooking
D
Examples: Hard remains of soups, sauces, ragouts, goulash and from all other cooking me
thods. Cooking off large quantities of side dishes or vegetables in perforated Gastronorm
trays.

For cooking, fill the pan tub with approx. 10 litres of water to at least a quarter of the speci
fied filling amount.
D
In the appliance tub there is a scale with markings every 10 litres. The filled quantity must
not exceed the uppermost mark of ”-6”.
D
Rinse the tank thoroughly after cooking meals in salt water. Dried on cooking water residues
form salt solutions which are corrosive.
Cooking large quantities of meals with a minimal liquid content
D
Settings e.g. for cooking large quantities of cabbage:

select the ”Fry/cook” mode with power at 100%
−
set the temperature to max. 225
°
C.
