Functional Description:
As an option of S1465 series signal generator, AWGN (Additional Gaussian White Noise) module
is a stand-alone functional module that performs AWGN output functions. Base, ARB, Dual Tone
(Multi Tone) and AWGN (White noise) in the signal generator are mutually exclusive. Others will be
turned off automatically when any one is turned on. These functions will automatically turn on I/Q
Modulate Switch.
Parameter specification:
Switch [ OFF | ON ]
Turn off |OFF0
Turn on |ON 1
Programmable command:
[:SOURce]:RADio:AWGN:ARB[:STATe] ON|OFF|1|0
[:SOURce]:RADio:AWGN:ARB[:STATe]?
Example:
RAD:AWGN:ARB:STAT ON
4.2.9.2 Work Pattern
1) Add Noise
Functional Description:
It is used with Band, ARB and Tone, and the generated base, ARB and dual tone/multi tone signals
are output after noise is added. This work pattern is valid only when Base, ARB and Tone are
turned on.
Parameter specification:
ADDNoise [ADDNoise | PUREnoise | CWDisturb]
Parameter list:
ADDNoise: Add Noise
PUREnoise: Pure Noise
CWDisturb: CW disturbance
Programmable command:
[:SOURce]:RADio:AWGN:ARB:MODE ADDNoise|PUREnoise|CWDisturb
[:SOURce]:RADio:AWGN:ARB:MODE?
Example:
RAD:AWGN:ARB:MODE ADDN
2)Pure Noise
Functional Description:
This pattern produces pure noise signal that is mutually exclusive with Band, ARB and Tone. This
work pattern is valid only when Band, ARB and Tone are turned off. The software is initialized to
this mode after start-up.
Parameter specification:
PUREnoise [ADDNoise | PUREnoise | CWDisturb]
Parameter list:
ADDNoise: Add Noise
