Meaning of connections
Proﬁbus-DP or Proﬁ-S-Net network connection

The bus is set up for baud

rates up to 1.5 Mbps. More

detailed speciﬁcations can

be found in manual 26/765

“Proﬁbus-DP”.

RS232 serial interface

This connection supports

conﬁguration with a browser

such as Internet Explorer or

Netscape Navigator (with PCD3.

K225 connecting cable).

Expansion connection

This connection allows the RIO

to be expanded with up to 3 LIO

module holders (with PCD3.

K010 connector). This means

that up to 256 I/Os can be set up

per RIO.
