To remove a staple jam:

Open the cover of the stapling unit.

Remove the stapling unit.

Remove the stapler.

Lift the staple cartridge guide, and remove any
jammed staples.

Replace the guide in its initial position, and replace
the stapler.

Replace the stapling unit.

Close the cover of the stapling unit.
