4.15 Priming the machine

WARNING: Execute caution when following this
procedure, as the insertion of the safety disabling
key allows the machine to operate with the front
door open, but at the same time also disables the
machine’s safety mechanisms. This procedure
should be performed only by trained and skilled
personnel (maintenance technician).

4.16 PC - machine connection
- Connection of the PC makes it possible, with the appropriate dedicated
software, to program all parameters of the machine and read/check di-
spensing statistics directly from the PC.
- Both the machine and the PC must be off. Connect the PC to the machine
using a 3-wire (inverted) serial connection cable fitted with a 9-pin con-
nector. Insert the cable to the serial port ref.

). First turn on the
machine and then the PC. The connection will be activated and the data
exchange will take place in real time.
4.17 Adjusting grinder
Each country has a different general grinder setting range, according to that
country’s coffee preferences. Generally speaking, these settings are as follows:
- Italy : 4 - 7,
- Spain - France - Switzerland - Netherlands : 5 - 8,
- Germany - Austria : 6 - 9,
- USA - Canada : 6 - 14.
To adjust the grind setting and check the results, follow these steps:
- Insert the safety disabling key so that you can dispense an espresso and che-
ck the modified grind setting without closing the front door ref.
