When purchasing the RSR30-44 modular routers, select functional modules following these rules:
Unless otherwise specified, up to four modules of the same type are supported.
Functional modules are related to slot position. Some modules may be inserted in one or several slots only. For
details, refer to the supported module list on the RSR30-44.
Interface cables shall match functional modules connected.

The RSR30-44 supports V1.0 and V1.1 versions of NMX-2GEH, NMX-4HSH, and NMX-1CPOS-STM1H.
The V1.1 version of the above NMX modules must be used together with the 10.2 main program and
higher version, and it supports the hot-plugging. For the hot-plugging details, see the software manual.
RSR30-44 supports V1.0, V1.1 and V2.0 versions of NMX-8E1/CE1H and NMX-4E1/CE1H. The V1.1
version of the above NMX modules must be used together with the 10.2 main program and higher version,
and it supports the hot-plugging. For the hot-plugging details, see the software manual. The V2.0 version
of the above NMX modules must be used together with the 10.4(1) and higher version, and it supports the
hot-plugging. For the hot-plugging details, see the software manual.
All NMX modules are hot swapping, except for NMX-24ESW.
Highlights
High-density aggregate access and high processing capability
The RSR30-44 connects DDN, frame relay, or X.25 through Synchronous serial ports and enables high speed
forwarding through 1000M ports. Hence, it can serve as the core router of small- and media-sized enterprises and the
access rotuer of large branches.
