Hardware Installation and Reference Guide

Preparation before Installation



The cabinet or workbench is armed with good ventilating and cooling systems.



The cabinet or workbench is firm enough for supporting the router and its mount accessories.



The cabinet or workbench is well-grounded.

Installation of Tools and Devices

To facilitate the installation, you need:



Installation kit



Connecting cables



Relevant devices

The installation kit includes:



Cross screwdriver



Straight screwdriver



Anti-static wrist strap

The connecting cables include:



Power cables



Configuration cables



Ethernet cables



Module interface cables

The power cables, configuration cables and connectors are supplied along with Ruijie routers. The

Ethernet cables and module interface cables need be purchased separately.

The relative devices include:



Hub or switch



CSU/DSU or other DCE device



Configuration terminal, which may be a client or a PC with hyper terminal installed



Router modules



Power sockets
