3. A jig might be required according to the size and shape of the print object (media).
Depending on the size and shape of the object to be printed on (the media), the distance between the object
to be printed on (the media) and the print heads may increase, which will increase the likelihood of ink mist
occurring. In the direction to which the print heads move, there must be a print object (media) and/or a jig
in the areas of 40 mm (1.57 in.) on both right and left sides of the portion (width) of the data to be printed. In
this situation, the difference in height between the surfaces of the object to be printed on (the media) and
the jig must be less than 2 mm (78.7 mil).
P. 13, "Set Height Position of Media (Automatic)"
P. 15, "Set Height Position of Media (Manual)"
P. 37, "Height Settings When the Print Surface is Uneven"
When a jig is required:
The print object (media) is not large enough to spread over the areas of 40 mm (1.57 in.) on both right and
left sides of the portion (width) of the data to be printed.
The variation in height of the print object (media) surface is 2 mm (78.7 mil) or more.
* There are conditions in the height settings when the print object (media) surface has a height difference.
