When using a LAN/WAN connection via e.g. SHDSL connections, that are available in many countries
now as point-to-point connections should be completely end-to-end tested by the telephone network
operator, including modems.

1.3 Web-based Service Tool in UMS100/120

To carry out the minimal service work when up and running and for the initial configuration, a user
interface can be used which is web-based and can be started on each UMS100/120. A web browser
such as MS Internet Explorer from version 5.0 (better 6.0) can be used or e.g. Mozilla Firefox 1.4 on
any control or service PC. The control or service PC is connected to the system that has to to be
configured via a LAN/WAN or mobile network connection. Once the IP address has been entered the
configuration tool starts up. The user interface of the configuration tool is only available in English.

Furthermore, a service PC does not require any other special programs.
