Configuration using POM write commands
The Z21
®
-Boosters can also be configured using POM programming commands as long as it is config-
uration mode. Should the Z21
®
-Boosters be connected via the B-Bus or the CDE port, it is only able to
accept POM write commands. If the Z21
®
-Boosters is connected via the CAN-Bus, it is possible to read
the configurations via POM.
The POM programming (“Programming on Main“ = programming on the main track) normally serves to
enable the programming of the locomotive decoder to be carried out at the main track. The Z21
®
-Boosters
can respond to these POM programming commands by way of exception when it is in configuration mode
–
and only then
– as long as these are directed at the “locomotive address”
9806
. Should you coinci-
dentally have a locomotive with this address, please remove it from the track beforehand if necessary.
Switch the booster to configuration mode by pressing the STOP button for at least 2 seconds until the
status LED starts to flash green or red. Now release the button.
You can now change the settings by entering the following CV variables in the pseudo ”locomotive ad-
dress“

via POM using a WLAN-MULTIMAUS
