Poppet Valve Installation

Loosely thread the RockShox® Bleed syringe fitting into the poppet
cover. Insert the poppet cover into the post head and push it into the
post head until it snaps firmly into place.

NOTICE

Do not thread the syringe fitting into the poppet cover tightly. It will be
difficult to unthread from the poppet cover.

Unthread the syringe fitting from the poppet cover.

Install the poppet valve cover retaining ring into the post head groove.

NOTICE

Confirm the retaining ring is properly seated by using the retaining ring
pliers to rotate the ring back and forth inside the groove.

Retaining rings have a sharp-edged side and a rounded-edge side.
Installing the retaining ring with the sharp-edged side facing the tool
will allow for easier installation and removal.

Remove the seatpost from the vise.
