Configuring out-of-path SteelHeads

Configuring the client-side SteelHead
In an out-of-path configuration, you configure the client-side SteelHead in the same way as in an in-
path configuration. For optimization to occur, you must define a fixed-target rule on the client-side
SteelHead that points to the out-of-path, server-side SteelHead. You can define fixed-target rules using
the Management Console or the CLI.

These procedures describe how to configure in-path rules using the Management Console.
To configure the client-side SteelHead
1. Follow the procedures for an in-path configuration.

2. Connect to the Management Console.
