Troubleshooting Tips

Problem

Cause

Action

The back of finished copies are
smudged with ink.

Paper sticks to the surface of the Print
Cylinder (Drum).

Paper cannot feed well from the
standard paper feed tray.

Paper cannot feed well from the feed
trays of the Multi-tray paper feeder.

The printer repeats the master-making
process for each copy of the identical
page.

The standard Paper Feed Tray is not
selected when the printing paper is
automatically selected in the auto paper
size selection mode.
(For RP3790 and RP3590 only)

The rubber Pressure roller,
which keeps printing paper
pressed against the Print
Cylinder (Drum) during
printing, may be stained with
ink.

The paper size indicated in
the Main Display may be
larger than the actual size of
printing paper loaded.
In this case, images might be
printed beyond the paper
frame, causing the rubber
Pressure roller to be stained
with ink.

Paper slips.

Curled paper may be placed
in the feed trays.

The [Collate Copies] or
[Collate] option was selected
as a print condition for the
received document data.

The [Triple-Tray Source]
feature on the [Properties]
window is not selected.

Remove the Print Cylinder (Drum) and
clean the roller gently with a soft cloth
or tissue.
