Operating Method
11.3.1
Mounting the sample holders
The sample holders are mounted on the turret by the force of the magnets fitted to the sample
holders. Install them by aligning the holes of the sample holders with those in the turret.

The turret should be mounted in a posture such that the dovetail groove remains horizontal and the
fitting for position sensing faces down when the sample -changer main unit is erected, as illustrated
in Figure 11.2. Figure 11.3 shows the changer with the turret mounted. In this condition, slide the
turret sideways along the groove, with Sample No. 1 positioned at the bottom, until it reaches the
end of the stroke. Once the turret reaches the end, fasten it by tightening the thumbscrew in the
center.

Installing the sample changer in the equipment and connecting it

To install the sample changer, remove the standard sample base and install and fasten the sample
changer in place using the four screws. Then, plug the connector of the cable from the
sample -changer main unit into the connector of the sample section.
