Printing without a Print Server

Preparation

To use a printer connected to the Ethernet interface, select “SmartDeviceMonitor” or “LPR Port”
when installing the printer driver.

Configuring Protocols

Configuring TCP/IP and IPP for Printing

Follow these instructions to configure the printer and Windows NT 4.0 to use TCP/IP and IPP.

Check TCP/IP is set to active. (The default is active.)

•

Assign an IP address and make other settings required for using TCP/IP.
