compliance with the study, in particular to ensure an even distribution of the load under appropriate
conditions.
The manufacturer/dealer declines any responsibility for the consequences resulting from use of
equipment in combination with other lifting equipment from another manufacturer.
- The product must only be used for vertical lifting purposes. Never use the product horizontally or at
an angle to the load. Never use the product to drag a load.
- To ensure safe use of the product, ensure to visually inspect and service it regularly.
The product must be periodically inspected/service by the manufacture/dealer agreed repair agent.
- When the unit is not being used, it should be stored in a location out of reach of persons not
authorized to use the unit.
- If the product is to be discarded, make sure it is discarded in a way that will disable any possible use.
Discard the product in accordance with local regulations concerning environment safety.
3.3- About the limits
- Never exceed the weight lifting limits of the chain hoist.
IV. GETTING STARTED
4.1- Unpacking
Unpack and inspect the product.
Make sure that all parts are included and in good condition. If any part is missing or appears damaged,
replace it before using the product.
Get to know the product features and its operation.
4.2- Installing the product
1. Install the product in a suitable well-lit work area.
Keep installation area and surrounding work area clean and tidy and clutter free.
Never install or use the product in a wet, explosive or corrosive environment.
2. Install product to a structure capable of supporting 1.5 times the rated work load.
Install the product so that the hand chain lies between 10to50cm from the ground.
The user must be able to operate safely the hand chain, standing on the side of the lifted load.
4.3- Attaching a load
1. Attach the load to the hook, using slings, chains or other lifting devices suitable for the type, shape
and weight of the load.
Centre the load correctly on the hook.
2. Do no use the lifting chain as a sling. This may cause damage to the chain.
3. Remarks:
The load must only be attached or supported by the proper lifting points.
Never wrap the lifting chain around the load and never use the lifting chain as a sling.
The load must be attached in a stable manner and must remain stable during the lifting operation.
The load must be free to be lifted upright. If the load is caught or restricted during lifting process,
overload or damage to lifting chain and lifting equipment may occur.
4. WARNING! (Lifting hook)
Do NOT attach the load on the tip of the lifting hook in front of the safety latch.
Do NOT load the lifting hook tip.
Do NOT load the lifting hook outside its centre line.
Do NOT load the lifting hook sideways.
5. WARNING! (Mounting hook)
Ensure that mounting hook is properly engaged with the safety latch securely closed.
