Interfaces

To comply with all requirements of a CAT 1 radar, data receiving from following additional sensors must be
implemented:



Heading data from a gyro compass



Speed data from a single or dual axial speed log



Position data from a GPS receiver



AIS data from an AIS-receiver

All sensors must comply with IEC standards and IMO resolutions

1.5.1

Serial interface

The system supports the following NMEA 0183 / IEC61162 serial messages:

VDR output

The output to a VDR (VGA or DVI-I or IEC61162-450) is available. In case of multiple radar clients, the screen
image from a client (or multiple) is captured and sent to the VDR output of the bridge system.

1.5.3

Alarm contact

A PLC provides the required alarm contacts. When part of an integrated system, this PLC might also be used
for other purposes.
