1.2
System architecture
Radar 4600 is a modular and scalable PC-based radar system, built from 3 main building blocks:
Transceiver unit (X- or S-band)
Radar server (signal processing unit, 1 required for each transceiver).
Radar client (display unit, display sizes meet CAT1 or CAT2 requirements).
A radar server consists of:
Radar server software
PC
Radar interface card
A radar client consists of:
Radar client software
PC
TFT display
Track ball
With these building blocks it is possible to deliver stand-alone systems, combining signal
processing and display on a single PC as well as networked radar systems consisting of multiple transceivers,
servers and clients, exchanging data via a LAN with other applications running on the same PCs and/or
exchanging data via the same LAN.
