Serial commands can be issued through the
Linx DVI 8x8 Matrix
Switcher
RS-232 port or through the Ethernet port using Telnet. See
Chapter 2
for connection instructions.

All commands take the following form:
COMMAND_NAME <value1> <value2>...
… followed by
ENTER

The majority of commands have both long and short forms:
•
The long form version is an easily understood word or the
concatenation of two or more words.
•
The short form version is an abbreviation of the command name
indicated in bold face, upper case. However, commands are not
case sensitive.
The command

There are two primary ways to use the
Linx Switcher
’s help feature:

Type
H
elp to list all commands.
•
Type

elp followed by the command to get command-specific
help.

Example

to get help on the input name
command.

Type

elp followed by the first character or characters of a
command name to get a list of all commands beginning with
those characters.

H IP
to get help on the commands
associated with IP addressing.
