Files may be downloaded from and uploaded to the
Linx DVI 8x8 Matrix
Switcher
using File Transfer Protocol (FTP) via connection through the
Ethernet port. See
Ethernet Control
on page 9 for information on IP
address requirements.
DOWNLOADING A
FILE FROM THE

Use this procedure to download files created with the
EXportEDID
or
EXPORTSETTINGS
command.
1.
From the PC
Start
menu at the bottom of the Windows desktop
select
Run
...
2.
In the
Run
dialog box type
cmd
as shown in
Figure 5-1
.

Press
ENTER
or click
OK
to open the command window.
Figure 5-2
illustrates the following steps.

Change to the desired PC directory. In the figure below, the
directory
linx
is selected.
5.
At the prompt, type
ftp
followed by the IP address. In the
example below the IP address is
192.168.1.220
and press
ENTER
.
6.
When prompted for a user name enter
rgb
in lowercase and
press
ENTER
.
7.
Enter the password
spectrum
in lowercase and press
ENTER
.
