When braking the drive, the rotary energy present in the mechanics is fed
back to the DC bus of the DKC in the form of regenerated energy. It can
•
Be reduced to dissipated heat via the braking resistor integrated into
the DKC or an auxiliary braking resistor can additionally be built in
- or -
•
It can be stored as energy in the DKC with connected auxiliary
capacitance module and then re-used for acceleration procedures.
This reduces the heat in the control cabinet and lowers energy
consumption.
For a successful implementation and an avoidance of unnecessary heat
loss in the control cabinet, it applies:
