7.10 • Setting of the ventilator unit
This setting takes about 7 minutes with 3 valves.
For the set-up procedure, it is important to
1. fully open all intake louvres
2. completely close all interior doors
3. perform the calibration procedure on a windless day - max. 2 Beaufort
(wind can be felt in face, leaves rustle)
Standard NBN D50-001 prescribes that the nominal air flow rate must be achieved at the same
time in every room. When the setting has been completed, the ventilator unit goes temporarily
to “C mode”. In this mode, only the green LEDs on the control modules may light up (if the
orange LED on the control module also flashes, the set ventilation rate is not being reached at the
corresponding control module). In C mode, the ventilation rates should be measured in the rooms
using a measuring device. The air flows must correspond to the ventilation air flows indicated
in the preliminary ventilation design*. The record the values on the EPB certificate and in the
performance report (where applicable).
A key combination is also provided on the control unit to allow the demand-driven control to
be temporarily deactivated (= system C mode - see section 8.3.1); this can be necessary on
delivery or in the event of an inspection by the Flemish Energy Agency (VEA), Brussels Institute for
Environmental Management (BIM) or Walloon Public Service (SPW).
Before starting the adjustment:
– If a control valve is connected to a RENSON
®
extractor hood, make sure the extractor hood
is activated before setting. (pull out the hood on a telescopic extractor hood)
– Connect the control valve to the corresponding connector of the Healthbox (see section 7.7).
Starting set-up:
• Healthbox is powered on.
• LEDs on control valves blink orange and green.
• Central control print board registers which control valves are connected to the Healthbox.
• After a positive automatic communication inspection, only the green LEDs will be on.
• The status LED on the main print board will continuously blink red.
