7.4 • Installation of the Healthbox
®
Important! Read these instructions before starting the installation!
Do NOT install this product in rooms where the following are present or may occur:
• Excessively oily atmosphere
• Corrosive or inflammable gases, liquids or vapours
• Room air temperatures above 40°C or below -5°C
• Relative humidity higher than 90% or outdoors
• The unit must not be used at locations where it may be exposed to water jets.
Follow the safety regulations and the specific measures to be observed as given in section 1
“Introduction”. During installation, pay attention to the:
– Provisions of STS-P 73-1 (based on Belgian standard NBN D50-001:1991), in particular
section 4.15 “Acoustic aspects of the mechanical part”.
– Conformity with the noise requirements according to the applicable standard (Belgium:
NBN S01-400-1).
• The preferred installation location is the technical room/loft/storage room (in the vicinity of
the roof/wall opening), where the ventilator unit can be installed and the duct network can be
easily connected. Pay attention here:
– The preferred location to install the ventilator is in an attic, above the “wet” rooms such as
bathrooms, toilets, etc., but not above a bedroom in order to limit the possible transmission
of noise.
– Position the ventilator unit centrally relative to the rooms to be ventilated so the duct lengths
are as homogeneous as possible.
– Avoid obstacles that hinder access to or the removal of the ventilator unit
• The Healthbox must not be connected to a motorised extractor hood or drier.
• The drainage from the ventilator must always be to the outside
• Make sure the sensors of the control modules are not installed facing downwards. (see figure)
The Healthbox and the connected air ducts must be installed in a way that the air ducts can
be connected with as few bends as possible. Bends cause higher pressure losses in the duct
system and result in the ventilator unit having to work at a higher pressure level. This has a
negative impact on both the electrical consumption and on the noise level.
