10 • Cleaning & maintenance
10.1 • Cleaning
Do not use sprays, scouring agents, detergents or solvent or chlorine-based cleaning agents.
These can cause damage to the unit. Clean the Healthbox using a damp cloth and a drop of
solvent-free soap.
10.2 • Inspection
• Have safety-impairing faults and damage remedied immediately by a recognised installer.
• If you notice anything unusual in the unit, notify your installer immediately.
• Check that the conditions for installation are still in conformity with the specifications: The
Healthbox must NOT be installed in rooms where the following is present or may occur:
– Excessively oily atmosphere
Corrosive or inflammable gases, liquids or vapours
– Room air temperatures above 40°C or below -5°C
– Relative humidity higher than 90% or installation outdoors.
10.3 • Maintenance
We recommend the conclusion of a maintenance contract so the complete function of the system
can be checked. The maintenance described below can be carried out by the user:
10.3.1 • Ventilator unit
• The ventilator has maintenance-free bearings and can function trouble-free for a prolonged
period.
• The impeller of the ventilator should be cleaned every 2 years. If a motorless extractor hood is
connected to the ventilator unit, the impeller should be cleaned once a year.
Proceed as follows:
– Disconnect the mains cable or switch off the circuit breaker to isolate the unit. Measure to
check that the unit is really disconnected. Then remove the cover of the ventilator unit by
removing the central screw using a screwdriver.
– Disconnect the RJ45 cables connecting the main printed circuit board of the motor panel to
the control modules. Mark which control module was connected to which port of the main
printed circuit board. Also disconnect the connector of the mains power supply and the
connector of the 4-position switch (if applicable) from the main printed circuit board.
– The motor panel can now be removed from the housing of the ventilator unit by releasing
the 4 clips using a flat screwdriver. Do not touch the electronics on the inside!
– Clean the impeller of the ventilator by blowing it clean using a compressor or compressed
air. (Do this preferably outdoors.) On no account clean the motor with water and certainly
do not immerse it in water or any other liquid.
