installation

This conversion should be done before the unit is initially installed:

If installed already, the draft hood assembly will need to be removed
so appliance may be slid out from the fi replace opening for ease of
conversion. See manual for details

Before you begin:
Shut off the gas supply to the unit.
Disconnect all electrical supply to the unit.
Always let the appliance cool to room temperature before servicing.

1. Remove faceplate, glass door , inner panels, glass crystals, media, logs

(if already installed)—see instructions in the manual.

2. Slide unit out and remove 3 front screws and loosen 2 back screws to

remove the left side control cover.

3. Remove minimum rate screw with 5/32" allen key (provided) and replace with

minimum rate screw supplied with LP conversion kit. Do not overtighten—this
screw can be easily damaged.

3. Remove conversion plug (located between the control knobs) with a long

fl at head screwdriver—access the plug from front of unit.

WARNING

This conversion kit shall be installed by a qualifi ed service agency in ac-
cordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and all applicable codes and
requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. If these instructions is not
followed exactly, a fi re, explosion or production of carbon monoxide may
result causing property damage, personal injury or loss of life. The quali-
fi ed service agency is responsible for the proper installation of this kit. The
installation is not proper and complete until the operation of the converted
appliance is checked as specifi ed in the manufacturer’s instructions sup-
plied with the kit.

THIS CONVERSION MUST BE DONE BY A QUALIFIED GAS FITTER

4. Remove the blue plastic end on the conversion plug and fl ip 180

reinstall

blue plastic end in LP position (slide blue plastic onto plug until a click is felt)
and reinstall on to valve. Use care to hand tighten only to avoid damaging
the conversion plug.

5. LRI3E- Remove the burner by removing 2 screws in locations shown below.
