13. Maintenance and Care
Clean the exterior of the model and the remote control only with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Never use abrasive cleaning
agents or chemical solutions as these could damage the surfaces of the casings.
All moving parts have to be easily movable but there should not be a clearance in the bearing. The motor shafts with
the rotor shaft must be aligned perfectly straight and must not be eccentric.
a) Replacing the Rotor Blades
If contact with an obstacle leaves visible danger on a rotor blade (cracks or broken parts), the rotor blade must be
replaced.
First, the linkage rods (1) must be carefully removed
from the rotor blade ball joints. Then the retaining bolts
(2) are removed.
Then the two rotor blades are separated and removed
form the rotor head.
When assembling the new rotor blades, first push the
two rotating pins (3) into the rotor head and then
assembly the two blades. When the rotor blades are
correctly assembled, turn in the retaining bolts again.
Finally, attach the linkage rods again.
