Charging by the remote control transmitter draws power from the batteries inserted there. This reduces the
transmitter operating time as well.
When flying, also observe the LED display and acoustic signals of the transmitter and terminate the flight
if the message “Battery empty” appears (also see chapter “Setting up the Transmitter”).
For maximum range of the transmitter and for charging via the remote control transmitter, use batteries
instead of rechargeable batteries due to their higher cell voltage (1.5 V).
Connect the flight battery to the charging cable as shown in item “Charging with the USB cable”. Plug the USB plug of
the charging cable at the transmitter into the intended socket (figure 1, item 5). Then turn on the transmitter with the
function switch (see figure 1, item 6).
The LED display at the transmitter (also see figure 1, item 10) is lit red first and starts flashing green after approx. 3
seconds. The charge control LED in the USB plug lights up. Charging has started.
When charging is completed, the LED display at the transmitter remains lit green and the charge indicator LED in the
USB plug goes out.
Unplug the flight battery from the charge cable and the USB charge cable transmitter at once afterwards. Switch off
the transmitter again.
b) Inspection of the Mechanics
Before commissioning your model helicopter, you need
to check the mechanics.
Only if the mechanics work securely, without play and
absolutely smoothly can be model fly with the lowest
possible energy expenditure. For this reason, you
should check the model function before each flight.
For this, carefully turn the main rotor back and forth
and check the interaction of the main gear (1) and the
motor pinion (2). The gears must securely fit into each
other without catching or showing too much friction.
The two motor shafts with the drive pinions must be
aligned perfectly straight and must not be eccentric.
Carefully turn the servo gears (3) back and forth. The-
se gears must turn smoothly as well. Particularly
observe contamination and remove it before flight.
The centrifugal weight rod (4) at the rotor head must
be aligned precisely straight and its ends must be easy
to move up and down.
The linkage lever (5) must not be difficult to move or
catch in any position.
