f) Switching on the Speed Controller
• If you have not done so yet, put the throttle/brake lever into the neutral position. Release the throttle/brake lever and
do not move it.
• Put the trimming for driving into the centre position.
• Switch on the speed controller by moving the slider (see figure in chapter 9. e) into the „ON“ position. Then wait for
a few seconds (leave the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter in the neutral position; do not move it).
If the vehicle drive starts although the throttle/brake on the transmitter is in the neutral position, then adjust
the trim on the transmitter until the motor stops.
If the trimming path is insufficient, the neutral position must be programmed, see chapter 11. a).
Now check the drive and steering functions of the vehicle.
For programming the speed controller, please observe chapter 11. b)
Important!
If a LiPo battery is used as a drive battery, check the basic settings of the speed controller for whether
undervoltage protection is activated (usually 3.0 V/cell). With the undervoltage recognition deactivated, the
LiPo battery will suffer deep discharge and be destroyed.
If a NiMH driving battery is used, switch off undervoltage recognition or set it to a lower value than for LiPo
batteries, see chapter 11. b).
g) Attaching and Fastening the Car Body
Push the aerial tube from the bottom of the car body through the respective opening. Now put the car body on the
holders and fasten it with the car body clips removed at the start.
h) Controlling the Vehicle
Operate the throttle/braking lever for the drive function at the transmitter very cautiously and do not drive too fast at
the beginning until you get used to the car‘s reactions. Do not make any quick and jerky movements with the operating
elements of the remote control.
Never point the transmitter aerial directly onto the vehicle. It will strongly decrease the range. The maximum range will
be achieved when the aerial of the transmitter and vehicle are both vertical and in parallel to each other.
If the vehicle tends to pull towards the left or the right, set the steering trim on the transmitter accordingly.
When switching between forward and reverse gears, the throttle/brake lever must be put in the neutral position briefly
(neutral position = let go of lever, do not move it). If the throttle/brake lever is moved from forward to reverse directly,
the brake function of the drive is activated (vehicle will NOT reverse).
Wait for at least 5 - 10 minutes until motor and speed controller have cooled down sufficiently before the next run. Only
then start a new drive with a full drive battery.
