5.2.
PERIODIC CLEANING BY A SPECIALISED
TECHNICIAN
5.2.1.
Cleaning of the heat exchanger
Halfway through the winter, but especially in the spring , you will
need to clean the compartment where discharge smoke passes.
This cleaning must be done in order to remove all combustion residues
before time and humidity let them harden and make them difficult to
remove.
It is good practice to provide plenty of ventilation in
the room when cleaning the stove.
CLEANING THE DALIA OYSTER STOVE EXCHANGER:
While the stove is cold, open the door, remove the plate “M” , remove
the brazier “N” with the pellet deflector; raise the back panel “H”
slightly (beware as it breaks easily) and remove it.
Next, remove the top plate “O” by prising it off at the slots “X” at the
bottom using a screwdriver then insert the cold hand or another tool
into the two slots “Y” at the top and lift the plate “O”. Tilt it slightly to
extract it.
Use a rigid rod or bottle brush to scrape clean the walls of the
combustion chamber inside plate “O” (just removed) so that the ash in
the lower ash collection compartment falls.
When the upper exchanger has been cleaned remove plate “L” by
removing the two screws and using the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner to
remove the ash and soot that has accumulated in the lower exchanger
and in the area around brazier “N”. Clean and refit everything.
